TVC Plus 100 Motor Assistance Program

All TVC Plus 100 Motor Assistance Program Plans include the following features:

Emergency Road Service and Towing

TVC Plus 100 pays the reasonable service charge of a garage or service station, excluding parts, whenever a customer is prevented from driving their covered auto because of a problem occurring on the road. Help will be sent to the location of their auto. If the serviceman is unable to get the covered auto on its way within one half hour of his arrival, the customer may have it towed to the destination of their choice, up to 100 miles. This service also includes replacing flat tires with the customers inflated spare; mounting skid chains or up to 2 snow tires on the customer's auto; and, opening locked doors.

  • As a TVC Plus 100 member, if you are driving their covered auto, then you are entitled to representation in the court of original jurisdiction by our PROVIDER ATTORNEY for coverable moving and non-moving traffic violations, subject to the following:
    • You must call our toll-free number to report the traffic violation within 3 days (72 hours) after receiving the citation.
    • Please have your citation when you call. The call is logged, your membership verified, and you will be asked to immediately send the following:
      • Original citation or legible copy of both front and back of citation,
      • Completed Power of Attorney Certificate,
      • Statement of Fact regarding the incident.
    • We must receive the above information in full in the home office at least 10 business days prior to your court date.
    • When we receive your information we will process it and forward it to a Provider Attorney who will handle the case in the jurisdiction in which it was received.
    • Be sure that Motor Club of America and your Provider Attorney have telephone numbers where you can be reached, or a message left and forwarded to you.
    • Contact Motor Club of court and take the necessary action to get you the best result possible. You should contact Motor Club of America for results 5 business days after your court date.
    • The Provider Attorney will bill Motor Club of America for his coverable attorney fees. However, the member is responsible for any out-of-pocket expenses, such as fines, fees, or other court costs, as well as all fees involved in a 25% discount case.
  • TVC Plus 100 will reimburse the customer up to a maximum of $250 if their attorney succeeds in enforcing a new car warranty pertaining to their auto

Traffic Accident Services

As a TVC Plus 100 member, if you receive personal injuries or sustain property damage of $2,000 or less as a result of driving, riding in, or being struck by any licensed motor vehicle or boat, the Provider Attorney will provide services up to, but not including, the filing of a lawsuit to collect those damages. This assistance is limited to two and one-half (2 ½) hours of attorney time per claim.

Serious Traffic Violation Representation

TVC Plus 100 members are entitled to representation in the court of original jurisdiction against police charges of manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter or negligent homicide, arising from a traffic accident wherein you or your spouse are driving the vehicle with permission, and which is otherwise covered under this Member plan. Washington and Maryland : Your Provider Attorney will defend you up to , and including, the first appearance if necessary.

Reimbursement for Emergency Travel or Living Expense

  • TVC Plus 100 will reimburse the customer for the following unexpected expenses incurred due to the collision of their covered auto with another vehicle or object if the accident occurs at least 100 miles from their residence and causes a delay in their trip:
    • Rental of a replacement auto.
    • Local lodging and meals. This includes expenses for the customer's spouse and children if they are traveling together.
  • Reimbursement is limited to expenses incurred for the first 72 hours following the accident and a maximum of $750.
  • The accident must be reported to the State or local police.

Reimbursement for Bail Bond Premium

TVC Plus 100 will reimburse customers for the cost of a bail bond to guarantee their appearance in court if they are arrested for a motor vehicle law violation or on any charge involving bodily injury or death due to an auto accident. Bail bond premium rates charged by licensed surety companies are covered up to a maximum of $350. The amount of the bail bond shall not exceed $10,000.

Reimbursement for Ambulance Service

TVC Plus 100 will reimburse the customer up to $100 for ambulance service to transport them from the scene of an accident involving their covered auto.

Guaranteed Arrest Bond Certificate

The customer is authorized to request courts and public officers to accept the $500 Arrest Bond Certificate printed on the customer's Member Identification Card. This Certificate guarantees the customer's appearance in court if the customer is arrested for a motor vehicle law violation. If the customer fails to appear, we will pay the fine up to $500, but the customer must reimburse us.

Theft Reward

  • TVC Plus 100 will pay a 5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone stealing the customer's auto.
  • The reward will not be paid to the customer, members of his family or public officials performing their duty.

Membership Identification Card and Emblem

The customer will receive our official identification card, which contains the Guaranteed Arrest Bond Certificate, and the TVC Plus 100 Motorist Assistance Program emblem for their auto.

Touring and Travel Services

TVC Plus 100 will furnish customers with information, maps and itineraries of trips. TVC Plus 100 will also make reservations for hotel, steamship, rail, air travel and automobile rental service.

Law List for Motorist

TVC Plus 100 has a list of attorneys throughout the United States , Puerto Rico and Canada who will assist customers if they are involved in a highway occurrence and need a lawyer. Instructions are listed on the Membership Identification Card.

Personal Accident Insurance

Customers are covered by a policy of insurance that pays benefits in case of death or dismemberment caused by automobile accidents. A certificate of insurance explaining the benefits provided by the policy will be given to the customer with his or her membership contract. Coverage provided by Zurich Insurance Company of Schaumburg, IL.
