Red Envelope Campaign
I have been involved in the pro-life movement for nearly 13 years, and it truly broke my heart when President Obama signed executive orders releasing funds to pay for abortions, granting permission to fund human stem cell research, and allotting federal funding for contraception. As a Christian woman, it is disheartening to realize that our country is once again being run by a man and a political party so strongly committed to the shedding of innocent blood.
I wanted to take a few moments to share with you an opportunity for you to unite with others in the pro-life movement to send a clear message to our new administration that there is moral outrage in this country in regard to the sanctity of human life.
Over the next week thousands of people across this country will be sending a very clear message to our President thanks to an idea laid upon the heart of a 20 year veteran in the pro-life ministry, John Otto. You are invited as a member of the Christian community to unite with others in the Red Envelope Campaign.
The instructions are simple. Purchase a red envelope and address it to:
President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Washington , D.C. 20500
On the back, write one of the following messages:
“This envelope represents one child who died as a result of abortion. It is empty because that life was unable to offer anything to the world. Responsibility begins with conception.”
OR
“There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know.”
– Barack Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast
Put a stamp on it and put it in the mail. Then encourage every one of your friends and family to do the same. Our goal is to send 50 million red envelopes, one for every child who died as a result of a so-called safe, simple, and legal medical procedure: abortion. For more information visit the Red Envelope Project website. Each envelope counts. Perhaps yours will be the one that changes the heart of our president!
