Affinity4’s GiveBack to Kids campaign was a huge success! Our holiday promotion started November 1st, and ran through December 15th. For every new Affinity4 service purchased (Long Distance, Internet, Digital Phone and Wireless) we donated $5 to Toys for Tots. We also matched that donation dollar for dollar and purchased new toys to be donated.
We decorated a Christmas tree for our lobby and piled all the toys underneath for the U.S. Marines to see when they came to pick up the donations. There were so many toys! Our Affinity4 family of customers and employees really did a great job to give the gift of joy to underprivileged children in our communities. There were so many games, puzzles, stuffed animals, and even bikes for boys and girls! We raised over $5,400 in cash to donate, too! When two U.S. Marines came to pick up the donations, they told us this year they truly needed the help, and we were glad to be a part of that.
We held a small reception to celebrate the success of the campaign with cake and punch. Affinity4 is proud and blessed to be able to offer help where needed, and much of that comes from you, our customers. To date, Affinity4 has given back more than $75 million to non-profits worldwide that stand up for the values you hold dear. Thank you for being a part of our family this year, and thank you for helping to make this campaign so successful!

What’s exciting about the dawn of a new year is that it gives us an incentive to ’start again’, to discard the old habits of the previous year and set new goals in an attempt to achieve our dreams. Many of us spend a great deal of time coming up with our list of “resolutions”. We might resolve to eat better, to exercise more, spend more time with family, be more tolerant of others, to let go of unhealthy habits, or to give more freely.
This year at Affinity4, we resolve to continue to provide our customers with the best available products and services, great rate plans, professional customer service and the continued opportunity to support those charities and ministries that mean the most to each of you!
On behalf of the board and staff of Affinity4, Happy New Year and May God continue to richly bless you and those you love!
What is your New Year’s resolution?

Christmas is here. The malls and streets are filled with busy shoppers and the air is filled with Christmas music. In just a few days we will be opening gifts and gathering with family and friends to share this special holiday.
As we celebrate Christmas here at Affinity4, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being a special part of the Affinity4 family. We recently received this wonderful testimonial from one of our customers and would like to share it with you. This customer writes:
“I also want to thank you for what Affinity 4 has done this past year to feed the body of the hungry with food and the hungry soul with the gospel.”
Together with God’s help, we have accomplished so much this year, and we could not have done any of it without you, our valued customers. Together we have helped to defend life, uphold traditional family values, protect our religious freedoms, feed the hungry and spread the message of Christ.
From all of us here at Affinity4- Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
What are you most looking forward to this Christmas?

When I make a donation to my favorite charity, I know that I am helping to make a difference. I know in my heart I am helping someone, somewhere. Through ordinary, everyday activities, each one of our customers gets to experience this feeling too, since each of our customers is helping to make a difference for their favorite charity or ministry through our unique GiveBack Program. Each person, each customer truly does make a difference.
Here at Affinity4, we all have an affinity for our favorite cause. With the idea of sharing the cause most dear to us with one another we have started a new campaign called “What’s Your Affinity4?” You can learn more about this new campaign on our website at www.Affinity4.com/youraffinity. “What’s Your Affinity4?” was developed with our customers in mind. We understand you hold individual values dear, and we believe everyone has a voice that should be heard.
During the development of “What’s Your Affinity4?” we considered that some of our own Affinity4 employees may wish to share their personal affinities, so that was where we started. Visit www.Affinity4.com/youraffinity to learn a little more about our family and the causes we care about, and to tell us more about you. Send in your photo and response for an opportunity to share on our website the causes that are dear to your heart. We thank you for helping us to further these important causes.

Just when I thought I’d seen it all! I recently read an article from Citizen Link dated 12/1 and learned some rather disheartening information in regard to this year’s Christmas shopping season. Here is a newsflash for those of you who are looking for the perfect gift for that teenage girl on your list who has everything! That’s right; problem solved… Planned Parenthood is offering… gift certificates!
First off, yes, I am being serious. According to Indianapolis’ WISH-TV, Planned Parenthood of Indiana is selling gift certificates for the holidays. These certificates are available in $25 increments and can be used to purchase birth control, breast exams and of course, abortions.
Now, let’s get this straight. One of the top abortion providers in this country, in their efforts to capitalize on Christmas, the time of year when we celebrate the ultimate birth, is providing gift opportunities for women who want to end their pregnancies.
Incidentally is this a gift you give expecting? I mean does the girl who has everything really need a free pass for an abortion should the need arise? Do these certificates expire? Can they be used with any other promotion? Will Planned Parenthood give cash back for the unused portion of the certificate? Are people really buying these things? It’s ridiculous!
Many pro-life leaders have called these certificates blasphemous and a horrendous idea. I would have to agree. A gift certificate that affords a woman the opportunity to destroy innocent life is not a gift! Instead this holiday season, we should be making donations to support organizations that promote life like Crisis Pregnancy Centers. Donations can be made in honor of anyone on your Christmas list! At least then in the true spirit of Christmas, we can give a gift that keeps on giving!
How do you feel about Planned Parenthood's new gift certificates?

There’s a story told about a boy walking down a beach full of starfish washed up from the ocean. The starfish are dying, so the boy picks up one at a time and throws them in the ocean. A man walking by comments “Son, there are thousands of starfish out there, you’re not making much of a difference”. The boy picks up another starfish and tosses it in the water. “It makes a difference to this one” the boy points out. At Affinity4 we believe in the ability of one. Each one of our customers is helping to make a difference for their favorite charity or ministry.
Here at Affinity4 we use the phrase “over $75 million” a lot. But what does that really mean? What kind of effect can over $75 million donated to thousands of charities and ministries really have? Well we at Affinity4 are here to show you! We have recently created a video, “GiveBack at Work”, based on the testimonials and information we have received from our charities and ministries on what they have been able to accomplish with the money donated by Affinity4. Remember, it is because of you, our valued customers that we have been able to donate this money. We thank you for helping us to further these important causes. Please view our video here.

During these hard economic times people are struggling all across the country and the world. Just as we struggle as individuals, the charities and ministries that we care about and support are struggling too. Recently, Focus on the Family announced that they were forced to eliminate 202 staff positions. The group stated that this was a direct result of a recent decline in donations. Gary Schneeberger, the VP of media relations for Focus on the Family stated “The pocketbooks of all types of donors, from small donors to larger donors, are being affected by the economic downturn.”
Just like Focus on the Family, other charities are having the same trouble raising the funds that they need to survive and to continue to accomplish their missions. In these difficult economic times, we all have to think about what we can do to save money and how we can continue to support the causes we believe in.
A recent Wilson Research Strategies study showed that 46% of Christian adults will decrease their charitable giving this year. Recent surveys show consumer confidence is at the lowest it has been in 40 years and consumer spending is expected to decrease for the first time in nearly 20 years. It is during these difficult economic times, that we realize how much every little bit does help. Charities appreciate the efforts of all their donors, small and large.
Through our GiveBack Program Affinity4 donates 10% of our proceeds to your favorite charity or ministry. Thanks to all of you we have been able to donate over $75 million to charities and ministries worldwide. Remember, despite the downturn in the economy, together we are still making a difference to those charities and ministries who are in need of funds now more than ever.
How do you plan to help support your favorite charity during this difficult economic time?
